Andrea is a registered clinical counsellor, who works from a non-diagnostic, collaborative approach. She works with clients according to their preferences and values, which helps to foster a sense of empowerment and autonomy. By supporting young people, adolescents, and adults from this perspective, Andrea aims to empower her clients to lead the therapeutic process, working on what clients want to work on, while drawing on her expertise and training to guide them towards growth and healing.

Andrea holds a Masters degree in Counselling, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Diploma in Counselling. She is a registered clinical counsellor with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and holds a level 4 membership with the Australian Counselling Association. Her advanced training in Sandplay Therapy and Symbol Work reflects her passion and commitment to developing expertise in these modalities.

Having tutored and lectured in Counselling at a University level, Andrea continues her enjoyment of teaching and passion for Sandplay therapy through her active involvement in the training of emerging Sandplay therapists via Expressive Therapies Australia and her membership of the Association for Sandplay Therapy.

Raised in a military family and having experienced frequent relocations, Andrea has firsthand knowledge of the impact of change and the significance and importance of connection in relationships. This background strongly informs her approach to therapy, emphasising the importance of building strong and supportive therapeutic relationships with her clients.

about sage

A welcome sanctuary from busy lives, Sage is situated in beautiful bushland on the Sunshine Coast QLD, close to Buderim and Sippy Downs.

You are invited to spend time amongst the giant bamboo or swing in the hanging chair, it is a beautiful place for some quiet reflection or personal meditation.

Grateful to be living and working on the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share. We recognise that these have always been places of cultural, spiritual, social and economic significance. I acknowledge the traditional owners of this land and elders past, present and emerging.
